The MEO Commedia a La Carte Fest, Lisbon’s new international comedy festival, debuts from October 29 to November 1, celebrating the legacy of Commedia a La Carte, the biggest national phenomenon in improv comedy. Created by Commedia a La Carte, co-produced by Last Tour and Aquele Abraço, presented by MEO, and with Lisbon as its main stage, the festival brings together the best of comedy, theater, music, performance, storytelling, and pop culture.
It is a hybrid space where anything can happen—no fixed formats, no rigid rules, and no filters—where humor is a universal language and a meeting point, but also a starting point. Lisbon thus becomes a living stage, with offerings ranging from stand-up to improvisation, including music, hybrid formats, and special experiences designed for diverse audiences. The MEO Commedia a La Carte Fest reinforces the place of humor in today’s world. In a world saturated with content, where everyone talks and many take themselves too seriously, humor is more relevant than ever.
